A quick post of an Instagram picture of the OPI from the 2010 Swiss winter collection. The color is a bit flatter in real life, the filter I’ve used gives it more depth. I love the color, hate the formula! OPI doesn’t do blue shimmers very well, it is watery and hard to work with.

This polish is in my top 20 favorites! I love it. I’m not sure why i’s named Kaleidoscope as I associate that with colors, and this is a mix of gold and steel (not exactly a color but I’m sure you understand). I got it on sale at a local beaty store, I passed on it at first because of price and am glad that I came across it on sale. I rarely wear anything other than untrieds but I come back to this (and a handful of others) often. My obsession with untrieds do affect the fact that I rarely use my exstensive collection, and my untrieds drawer in my Helmer is growing faster than I can wear them! (I’m sure other bloggers and polish lovers can relate!)
I can’t remember any information about coats and application, this is an old picture I found in my Picasa album and wanted to share with you. But I do recall it was easier to apply than other Chanels I have (Ballerina and Tulip Noir).

Depend Cosmetics is a Swedish brand and is typically what you’d call a drug store brand. The bottles are very small, 5ml (0,17 fl.oz) and also equally inexpensive. No. 196 is not (as I can find) part of their core collection and was from their spring collection 2010. It is a similar green to OPI Who the Shrek are you?, but I don’t have that so check out Nailgal for some pictures of it.
The color is a bit darker in real life, but I’m still impressed by the picture my iPhone 3 managed to produce. As the bottles are very small the brush is also very small which makes it hard to work with. But formula is good and it’s only 2 coats 🙂
Coats: 1 coat OPI Nail Envy, 1 coat Orly Bonder, 2 coats Depend and 1 coat Nubar Diamont.

I love this blue (if you read my blog you’ll know how much!). A delicate cornflower creme blue perfect for spring. It is an old Misa, I could find any info about it and it’s not in their core collection (according to their website, http://www.misacosmetics.com). And it’s a lovely light creme perfect for the coming season! Picture is taken quite some time ago so can’t remember much about the application – other than I’ve done it in the dark (at least it looks like it!)
Coats: 1 coat OPI Nail Envy, 1 coat Orly Bonder, 3 coats Misa and 1 coat Nubar Diamont.

One of my favorite polishes of 2010. I found it on the counter at a hairdresser, and having wanted it for a long time I got it. The price was mad, and reminded me of why I seldom buy polishes here when I can get them from overseas.
It is from the fall collection, and part of the new more colorful (meaning less pink and red) road that Essie is taking – I like it. This muted green reminds me of army green. The shimmer is very subtle, so from afar and in this picture you can’t see it. This was my New Years mani, not very festive but it went well with my outfit and I had just bought it and had to try it! It was a very easy to apply, and very saturated – only two coats. Also taken with my iPhone camera, so not the best picture and maybe a bit lighter in the picture than in real life.
Coats: 1 coat OPI Nail Envy, 1 coat Orly Bonder, 2 coats SP, 1 coat Nubar Diamont and OPI Rapid Dry spray.

So first mani of the year on the blog is my Christmas mani. My favorite red ever this one, from the Christmas 2009 collection. It is still available, but not part of the core collection. I say it again – I LOVE THIS! It is a very saturated red, this is two coats. I used my iPhone to take this picture, and it turned out ok – but I find that it is very up and down.
This is also one of my Top 20 polish favorites, check out my Top 20 page.

So having a little baby to take care of have so far kept me busy busy busy. But she is now going to bed around seven and sleeping through the night, which means I have some time to myself in the evenings. I will try and blog about two/three times a week, enjoy! And have a new blog design, fitting with pink when you have a little girl (who have not experienced the joy of polish yet, her dad would kill me if I put some on her…) Some of my posts that are coming in August are my nail wheels, am updating them now 🙂 Never counted my polishes but have at least 10 wheels I think.
On to the pictures, can’t really remember a lot about this polish other than I loved the grey and the sparkles, it was sunny when I took the pictures and that it was a multiple coater. But then again I am allergic to VNL…
