A quick post of an Instagram picture of the OPI from the 2010 Swiss winter collection. The color is a bit flatter in real life, the filter I’ve used gives it more depth. I love the color, hate the formula! OPI doesn’t do blue shimmers very well, it is watery and hard to work with.

My untrieds list is pretty much the same as last time, with some new additions and some polishes I’d forgotten to add last time. I’ve had problems with peeling and I’ve worn very little polish the last month. It’s getting better and combined with more daylight and spring I’m ready for some more colour on my nails!
This polish is in my top 20 favorites! I love it. I’m not sure why i’s named Kaleidoscope as I associate that with colors, and this is a mix of gold and steel (not exactly a color but I’m sure you understand). I got it on sale at a local beaty store, I passed on it at first because of price and am glad that I came across it on sale. I rarely wear anything other than untrieds but I come back to this (and a handful of others) often. My obsession with untrieds do affect the fact that I rarely use my exstensive collection, and my untrieds drawer in my Helmer is growing faster than I can wear them! (I’m sure other bloggers and polish lovers can relate!)
I can’t remember any information about coats and application, this is an old picture I found in my Picasa album and wanted to share with you. But I do recall it was easier to apply than other Chanels I have (Ballerina and Tulip Noir).

Anyone with a little love for nailpolish loves the sight of a Small Flat Rate Box! So this was my first this year, but not so exciting… The OPI removers was added without thinking and nothing I need. Should’ve got a OPI Nail Envy instead. The two OPI polishes were gifts for my mom and my sister (LPAD is her pedi colour). So only two for me this time – but the two I got are great, Essie is really stepping up their game and giving us some quite exciting polishes not all pink and reds. I like 🙂
They are still on my untrieds list, at the moment my nails are a nightmare as they peel and are weak. So am going to do something I never do, I’m buying the Nail Envy here in Norway as my nails need TLC soon! Will maybe try a before/after post about it as Nail Envy has worked wonders for me before. And with the Nail Envy maybe I’ll get back the nails I had around Christmas time 2009, that’s how I like my nails
So in my first weekly goals post I stated that I would have two posts up last week. But no posts came up due to two things: 1) I just made drafts and 2) then got sick and had to care for a sick baby and myself. This is just another example of me not managing to do all I want and something has to give. Unfortunatly last week it was the blog. And then I started work on Monday and I have been shattered when coming home. I was last at work one year ago so it is quite different from the days I’m used to.
I hope this time management issue I have now will resolve itself and that I can manage to continue blogging (as I do think I have readers, and will hopefully get more as I start blogging more).
But I did manage to do two of my three weekly goals, I had a great time (despite sickness) at home with my little girl and I have started my project of updating my nail wheels for a nail wheel post later in spring (need good lighting!).
Have a great day 🙂
It is no secret that I am a procrastinator. If I can, I will wait as long as I can to do it. So I thought maybe if I used my blog as a tool I could kick myself into gear. I’m therefore starting a new feature called weekly goals on Mondays – then it will be in writing and I have to complete it (at least that is the intention!).
So here are my 3 goals this week:
- Enjoy the last week of my maternity leave, next week it’s back to work!
- Write at least 2 blog posts to be posted this week.
- Start updating my nail wheels so they will be ready for fotography this spring.
Do you have any goals this week? Have a nice week 🙂
Depend Cosmetics is a Swedish brand and is typically what you’d call a drug store brand. The bottles are very small, 5ml (0,17 fl.oz) and also equally inexpensive. No. 196 is not (as I can find) part of their core collection and was from their spring collection 2010. It is a similar green to OPI Who the Shrek are you?, but I don’t have that so check out Nailgal for some pictures of it.
The color is a bit darker in real life, but I’m still impressed by the picture my iPhone 3 managed to produce. As the bottles are very small the brush is also very small which makes it hard to work with. But formula is good and it’s only 2 coats 🙂
Coats: 1 coat OPI Nail Envy, 1 coat Orly Bonder, 2 coats Depend and 1 coat Nubar Diamont.
